Everything about our car tours

Rallies are a popular way to explore new places and enjoy the landscape. Whether you're visiting another city, a rural area or the mountains, there's nothing as satisfying as getting behind the wheel and going on an adventure.

Especially if it's your first car tour, or when you don't have much experience yet, there can be many questions. In this FAQ you'll find answers to the most common questions about our car tours, so you can appear at the start relaxed and well prepared.

FancyCarTours is all about a relaxed atmosphere where it doesn't matter what vehicle you own or how many horsepower it has. FancyCarTours participants are enthusiasts of beautiful cars, great food and stunning landscapes. Although they are sporty drivers, they don't make irresponsible maneuvers. Our philosophy is based on the motto "you only live once"! If you recognize yourself in this, don't hesitate to sign up quickly for one of our events.
We drive an average of between 250 km and 300 km. The tours are full-day, with a nice balance between driving, breaks and enjoying the surroundings.
There is no possibility of refund, regardless of circumstances.

To limit this risk, we recommend taking out cancellation insurance. This way, the costs can be (partially) covered if you are forced to cancel the trip.
You can pay via: iDEAL, Creditcard, Sofort, Bancontact, Manual bank transfer, PayPal
An extremely fast car is not necessary, but we do expect participants to bring a beautiful car. This way we can admire each other's cars and together ensure a day full of impressive vehicles. We don't determine whether your car is 'special enough' – you can judge that entirely yourself.
On the edition page you'll find all upcoming editions. Select the edition of your choice and follow the registration process there.

How registration works:
1. Indicate how many people you want to register.
2. Fill in your personal details.
3. Select your preferred payment method.
4. Check the terms and conditions and click 'Register now'.
The costs vary per edition. This depends on the arrangements we offer during the tour, such as lunch, dinner and any hotel stays.
You will receive a GPX file from us that you can load into an app or navigation system. Detailed instructions can be found on this page: https://www.fancycartours.com/en/how-does-it-work-to-read-a-route
After you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email and a link to your 'Personal booking page'. About two weeks before the start, you will be added to a 'silent' WhatsApp group. The further information, routes and final program of the tour will be sent to you by email no later than four days before the start.
No problem! Contact us via the contact, or mention this in the comments during registration. We will then contact you to discuss the possibilities.
Of course! Let us know in time, and we'll arrange something tasty for the four-legged friends.

Unfortunately, we keep our tours discreet. Therefore, we do not pass on our locations to car spotters. Emailing, calling or texting to take photos or ride along is therefore pointless.
Absolutely! Mention this in your registration and we'll arrange something fun during the day, so it becomes a fantastic experience for young and old.
Each edition clearly states what is included in the tour. Standard at our editions, food is included.

Our multi-day editions always include: Hotel stay(s), Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
If there is still space, that's no problem. You can adjust this yourself within your 'Personal booking page' or by contacting us via the contact form. Note: in connection with reservations, please let us know in time.
We all leave at the same time and everyone has the same route. In practice, groups of about 5 to 6 cars form during driving. During the ride we have intermediate stops, where we can gather the group again.
Just like our routes, we also find the choice of catering establishments very important. We always strive for quality and look for unique dining locations that fit well with the atmosphere and experience of each edition.
That's no problem. You can register in advance and it's possible to switch cars later, as long as you let us know in time.
Registrations close as soon as the maximum number of cars and/or persons is reached. This can vary per edition. You can always contact us for the possibilities or a waiting list.
We deliberately drive with relatively small groups, usually between 15 and 30 sports cars per edition. This keeps the group manageable, leaves room for personal contact and allows us to enjoy the routes together without the experience feeling too crowded.
You need a valid category B driving licence and your car must be insured for use on public roads in the countries we drive through. Check with your insurer whether you have coverage abroad (at least third-party liability, preferably more extensive). Our tours take place entirely on public roads – there are no circuit or trackday activities.
Fuel, tolls, vignettes, parking fees and other personal expenses are generally not included, unless explicitly stated otherwise for a specific edition. You pay these costs yourself along the way. The description of each edition clearly indicates what is and is not included.
For many editions, coffee, tea or soft drinks are included during the meals, but this can vary per location. Drinking alcohol while driving is of course not allowed. Alcoholic drinks are often at your own expense and are enjoyed only once the car is safely parked.
Yes. Please let us know your dietary requirements, allergies or other special requests as early as possible when registering. We then coordinate this with the selected restaurants. Although we cannot guarantee absolutely everything, we always do our best to arrange suitable options.
Most communication and briefings are in Dutch. For international editions we can also explain important information in English. The routes themselves are provided via GPX files and clear symbols, so language plays a smaller role while driving.
Yes, you are very welcome to join on your own. Many participants drive with a partner, friend or family member, but this is not mandatory. On each edition page you will see how prices are structured per car and per person. Even if you come alone, you will quickly connect with other participants.
Good roadside assistance and travel insurance are important. If your car has problems on the way, we will help where possible to find a local garage or towing service, but the technical handling and costs go through your own insurance. Where feasible, we look together at how you might rejoin the group later.
No, FancyCarTours does not organise races and we do not tolerate reckless driving. We drive in a sporty way, but always within the legal limits and with respect for local residents and other road users. It is all about the experience, beautiful roads and safety – not about who is the fastest.
Our tours generally continue as planned, even in rain or changeable weather. We adapt the pace and breaks to the conditions and, if necessary, adjust parts of the route. Only in extreme conditions or in cases of force majeure might we be forced to modify the programme; in that case we will inform you in time.
