Today we're heading to Vercors National Park and the Combe Laval. This picturesque route winds through the park and is especially known for the impressive views you encounter along the way. This road, known as one of the most spectacular routes in France, is completely sculpted from the rocks and winds through the mountains of the Vercors nature park. It's a true masterpiece of human engineering.
The Combe Laval is a narrow and winding road that towers high above the valley. The view of the surrounding mountains and forests is breathtaking and will leave you amazed by the beauty of nature.
Day 2: The Alpe d'Huez

Staying at a
unique location
During the tour, we will stay at Château de la Commanderie. Château de la Commanderie is ideally located in the heart of the Alps, just a 15-minute drive from Grenoble.
Each room or suite is equipped with air conditioning, a minibar, a television, and a private bathroom with bathrobes and a bath.

Please note, read this CAREFULLY. During this edition, we will be staying in a good 3-star hotel, we will be driving routes on 3 days, namely: June 19, 21, 21, 2025. The arrival is therefore June 18, 2025, and the departure is June 22, 2025 after breakfast.
We drive approximately 300 km daily, divided into 2 or 3 parts. Keep in mind that each stage lasts an average of 2 hours. Of course, we have scheduled breaks and lunches to make the ride smooth and relaxed.
The roads in France are good, there are no special considerations here.
The starting point is near Grenoble: 17 Av. d'Echirolles, 38320 Eybens, France. You drive to this location on your own.

This can be due to unexpected circumstances such as festivals, road closures, events, the weather, and things we haven't experienced yet :). Organizing a roadtrip is not a simple task; it's mainly about improvising in unexpected situations. That's why we ask you to have a go-with-the-flow mentality. If a road is closed, it shouldn't be a problem for you to drive an hour out of your way. And if it takes a bit longer to serve lunch, you don't see that as a problem either. We are dependent on external factors and have no influence on this.
