Of course, the highlights are included in the program; Including the Transfăgărășan route (deemed the best road in the world) and Bran Castle (Dracula's castle). Staying in
4* hotels
During this edition, we will be making a round trip and will be staying at a different accommodation each evening. We have selected beautiful 4-star hotels that we found suitable for this edition.
Day 1: Reception/Welcome Evening Romania
You travel to the location in Romania on your own. We gather at the hotel where a welcome dinner takes place in the evening. Here you will meet the organization and the other participants, and we will go through the program together.
Day 2: Transalpina & Cindrel Natural Park
Today we drive the Transalpina. A famous road through the Parang Mountains (Romanian Carpathians) with a multitude of winding roads. The road is 148 kilometers long and reaches a height of 2145 meters (the highest road in Romania). This not only offers breathtaking views but also unique driving experiences. Halfway through, we make a stop for lunch. Afterward, we drive through a beautiful natural area; Cindrel National Park to the hotel to enjoy an oasis of tranquility in a natural environment.
Day 3: Astra National Museum Complex & Cozia National Park
Today we visit the Astra National Museum (The largest open-air museum in Europe) located in the "Dumbrava Sibiului" nature reserve. A glimpse into the culture and life of Romania. After the lunch stop halfway through the route, we drive through adventurous winding roads to the hotel in the middle of the amazing Fagaras Mountains.
Day 4: Transfăgărășan – Balea Lake – Bran Castle
After a hearty breakfast, we prepare for the spectacular Transfăgărășan Route. A 90-kilometer road through the Fagaras Mountains, part of the Transylvanian Alps. The road has been voted the most beautiful road in the world by the makers of Top Gear. The hairpin bends and steep cliffs make the view along the route truly amazing. An absolute must-do for the true road trip enthusiast. After the lunch stop, we drive towards Bran where we visit Bran Castle. A high-set fairy-tale castle on a rock. This castle is known as Dracula's castle.
Day 5: Peleș Castle – Brasov
Today we visit Peleș Castle; beautifully situated in a park above the city of Sinaia. This castle was formerly the summer palace of the royal family. After visiting the castle, we make a stopover for lunch and drive to our final destination Brașov. In the evening, we will conclude this trip at the hotel during a cozy dinner, where we look back together and toast to an awesome adventure!
Day 6: Departure to the Netherlands
In the morning, there is still the opportunity to use the breakfast buffet. We return home on our own. And we look back on an unforgettable journey!

This edition is an adventurous multi-day road trip through Romania, focused on driving pleasure, stunning mountain landscapes, and unique cultural highlights. Expect iconic routes like the Transfăgărășan and Transalpina, combined with castles, national parks, and authentic local experiences. This trip is designed for true life enjoyers who love driving and discovery.
This road trip is perfect for adventurous drivers, typically around 40 years old, who love sports cars, beautiful roads, and a relaxed, go-with-the-flow mindset. You should be flexible, positive, and enjoy traveling with like-minded car enthusiasts who understand that improvisation is part of the adventure.
We drive approximately 300 kilometers per day, usually divided into 2 or 3 stages. Each stage takes about two hours on average. Of course, we include sufficient breaks, coffee stops, and lunch moments to keep the journey relaxed and enjoyable.
The famous mountain passes such as the Transalpina and Transfăgărășan are well suited for sports cars. However, keep in mind that Romania also has lesser-quality roads, especially in rural areas. Careful driving and a flexible mindset are essential.
The starting point of this edition is in Romania. Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel to the starting hotel. Detailed location information will be shared well in advance.
The price includes 5 overnight stays in 4-star hotels, 5 breakfasts, 5 dinners (excluding drinks), 4 lunches during driving days, entrance tickets for Bran Castle and Peleș Castle, the Astra Museum excursion, professional tour guidance, GPX routes, a program book, and photos from our photographer.
Drinks are not included during dinner unless explicitly stated otherwise. This allows participants full freedom to choose what and how much they drink.
We stay in carefully selected 4-star hotels. During this round trip, we stay at a different hotel each night, chosen for comfort, secure parking, and a great location close to nature or city highlights.
We ensure that parking is available at the hotels. However, FancyCarTours is not responsible for theft or damage. We strongly advise having an SCM4 or SCM5 approved security system and proper insurance.
Yes, travel insurance is strongly recommended and considered essential. It covers medical costs, cancellations, lost luggage, emergencies, and unforeseen events, ensuring peace of mind throughout the trip.
We plan every road trip carefully, but changes can occur due to weather, road closures, local events, or unforeseen situations. Flexibility is part of the experience, and we always aim to offer the best possible alternative.
Prior rally experience is not required. However, confidence in driving longer distances and mountain roads is important. Our tour guides provide clear instructions and support throughout the journey.
You can join this road trip alone or as a couple. The listed price is for two people per car. If you want to participate solo, please contact us for a customized proposal.
